The Free You

A brief presentation of the Free University movement in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960's and its effect on self-organized education, computer industry and political action.

The Mid Peninsula Free University was started in1966 and represented a wide variety of groups and individuals coalescing over a single issue—"something is wrong, drastically wrong, wtih American society today". It proclaimed itself as a "radical" educational concept.

This short presentation will present the courses offered, associated publications and public programs as well as the problems that surfaced within the school.
