Outcomes from the first drafting meeting (to be discussed)
Draft Declaration [resolution, action plan, final document] of the Summit non alligned initiatives in education culture
Daft after day 1 (inputs from facilitators, urgent thought, delicious wikis, architecture forum, academeia and general public)
Recalling that resolutions and declarations have had negative impacts on both peoples personal lives as well as on the lives of groups of people
further recalling resolution 129 of the Security Council that under lawful terminology has led to a industrial redistribution of ressources and war (Lawrence)
further recalling the countless resolutions and declarations as well as action plans on the palestinian people that have led to evictions (Minur)
stressing the need to learn from similar declaration processes like the World Social Forum, and explicitely the failures in these processes, turning declarations into sort of shopping lists for the different needs of groups (Rodrigo)
further stressing the need to define as well adresses as speakers of a possible final document, declaration [resolution, action plan] as well as a definition of who could do what in the proces to come
questioning the consensus principle
aknowledging the need to preserve a variety in this proces as well as to clarify on the diversity of the different approaches in this proces (academeia)
questioning the practice to divide into cultures (minur)
recalling blog principles and other forms of knowledge sharing that go beyond linear processes of declarations and resolutions (rodrigo)
